The Snowman Economy is a snowman-themed investing game for the Nokia 3310.

  • Collect snowflakes
  • Trade them on the free market
  • Become wealthy
  • Stop global warming (aka freeze)

Beware of hail and temperatures above 0 degrees celsius (melting point of ice, for all you fahrenheit users out there).

Controls:

1: Enable/Disable the UI

2: Sell snowflakes

3: Buy snowflakes

4: Move left

5: Freeze - decrease the temperature by 5 degrees at a cost of $500

6: Move right

Temperature generally decreases throughout Autumn and Winter and increases throughout Spring and Summer. The exchange rate for snowflakes is higher the more warm the temperature. Buy them low, sell them high.

Lastly, my apologies for the messy UI, but I had to make do with the game jam's limitations.

I received the following error message when installing and then launching this from the itch.io app (latest version):

Error
The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing:
Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)

I don't know what is missing but I'm presuming it is something on the dev or itch.io end?

Thanks for the feedback! I had no idea what you were talking about, so I went and downloaded the itch app and indeed came across the same issue that you did. I didn't even know about the app's existence lol.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to fix it and a quick google search yielded no results. I'll have to look back into this later, as I don't have time right now. But for now, the game does work either in the browser or through the game download I just added.

Thank you for the prompt reply! I wonder if it worth trying to contact itch technical support to see if there is something they can tell you or if it is app related? (Just a thought). I will see if I have time to try and file a bug report with them to see if they can help too :)

Yea, I'll do that. Thank you!
